Rukia sleeps downstairs with me.
Kiba sleeps upstairs with Cameron.
Lines have been drawn.
I’m mostly annoyed because Rukia sheds considerably more, and there is so.much.dog.hair.
And needless to say, the dogs are afraid of the vacuum.
Meanwhile, I’m trying to figure out which dog is smarter. So far, results are mixed.
Rukia has now figured out that every time I get up or move generally towards the stairs it does NOT necessarily mean we are going outside. So while Kiba sprints all the way to the back door, Rukia now waits at the top of the stairs. Point: Rukia.
Rukia likes to sprint around the back yard at top speed, come inside, deep-throat as much dog food as possible, start chugging water, and then puke first in her crate, and second on the kitchen floor, which is the third and fourth piles of puke I’ve cleaned up. Point: Kiba.
Kiba doesn’t understand the concept of chairs until he’s put on one and then he’s all “I’M ON TOP OF THE WORLD”. Point: Rukia.

Both dogs like to freak the fuck out any time there’s a random sound, like, say, the ice machine starts in the refrigerator, or an airplane goes by, or there’s a siren. Sounds like this occur with regularity. Points: -12,000 (Joe and Cameron)
Rukia has not yet mastered the concept of stairs, and she follows so closely behind that I’ve accidentally kicked her in the jaw maybe twelve times just while going up the stairs. Point: Kiba.
